I was born into business — straight from the hospital into my father’s supermarket in Suriname. By the time I was a child, I was already handling customers and products, learning the flow of retail from the ground up. At just 8 years old, I was running the cashier, and by 11, I was programming PLUs and managing DOS-based systems to track sales more accurately.
I also became the family’s “tech person” early on — fixing radios, TVs, and gadgets. That same curiosity later fueled my passion for music, where I learned how to read people and create experiences as a DJ.
Over the years, I built up experience in supermarket and restaurant operations, customer service, marketing, and sales — all while continuing to implement POS systems on the side. This mix of hands-on business knowledge and technical expertise gave me a unique perspective: I don’t just understand software, I understand how businesses actually run.
Today, that experience is the foundation of TICPOS. We deliver not just software, but complete, effective solutions that empower businesses to grow with confidence.
